trash, trampoline, and the party girl

Yesterday was my birthday. I had to work at Hanley, Inc., but the boss lady was kind enough to let me go just in time to get to my birthday party. Provided I bring her along, of course. Like an 18 month old, she managed to make the evening all about her. But I didn't mind. She's pretty damn cute when she's pulling every book off of a bookshelf, emptying purses, throwing balls at dogs, and pushing random buttons on the DVD player. Good thing we were at Becky's house and not mine. It was great to share a fantastic meal with Becky, Mr. Becky, Lindsey, The Rhonda, Lynne, Kathy, Laura, and The Big H, and half the dogs in Houston.

Someone mentioned how it seemed like we'd gathered together for my birthday only a few months ago. Maybe I said that. Did I? I'm not sure. I'm allegedly getting old. Anyway, this past year was really great compared to the one before. My lung didn't collapse at all, this time around! I'm still not smoking. I got a new dog. And I became part of the Hanley, Inc. team of excellence. If you overlook that horrible car accident I was in last week, 30whatever was a fantastic year! Hopefully, this next one will be even better.

Thanks for all the birthday greetings y'all left on my Facebook page, on Twitter, on LJ, in email, and in my P.O. Box. It was rather overwhelming in a very good way.
