giving you the benefit

Yesterday, Saturday, was unusual because I had to work. Laura, Hanley Inc. CEO, Scout's Honor co-founder, attorney of Rexford G. Lambert, wife and mother, needed my assistance for a few hours because she had to rehearse with her friend and musical partner, Carol Plunk, as they were reuniting their band, The Belle Curves, for a Scout's Honor benefit gig that night at The Porch Swing Pub. They were rehearsing at Hanley Inc., and all the other Hanley Inc. employees were either busy or stranded in Amsterdam, so it was up to me to keep The Big H out of their hair. Being the consummate professional that I am, not only did I rise to the challenge, but I also managed to take a picture while I laughed.

Later, outside on a beautiful Texas evening at The Porch Swing Pub, a Hanley-free zone, The Belle Curves played about 20 songs together, and it was absolutely excellent. Their gig was streamed live on ustream, which you can watch by clicking Here and Here. Becky and I took a lot of photos, which you can view Here. It was a great night, and I'm glad I was there with good friends, good dogs, and good music.
