meeting people is easy

If you're in Houston and have nothing to do from 11:30 to 3:30 tomorrow (Sunday), stop by PetSmart in the Heights (I-10 at Taylor) and meet my new friend, Shasta, pictured above, who is ready to be adopted or fostered. We'll be there with other Scout's Honor volunteers and dogs available for adoption. (The dogs can be adopted, I mean. Not so sure about the other volunteers. You'll have to ask them.) Shasta is a sweet 60 lb. hound mix who is eager to please and be petted. She came in to the Scout's Honor program weighing 37 lbs. and had severe mange. I posted her "before" picture behind a cut, in case it's too upsetting for some. But she's come a long way, and I hope Shasta finds a great home tomorrow. She deserves it, and someone out there deserves her.
