tattoed love boys

A while ago we were sitting around The Compound dining table and Lindsey murmured something about getting artwork together so she could get a new tattoo. Every time I leave Hanley Inc. I pass by Shaw's Tattoo and I knew that's where she would go, so I said, "Let me know when you're going and I'll go with you."

Cut to me a couple weeks later opening a hand-drawn "gift certificate" for a free tattoo at Shaw's courtesy of Rhonda and Lindsey as a Christmas present. They told me they'd been having a difficult time figuring out a gift for me, until I said I wanted a new tattoo and they both thought, Great googly moogly! That's what we'll get for him!

Cut to us last Saturday night at Shaw's getting new tattoos. Lindsey went first, because her design had more detail and we figured it would take the longest. Which it did, but she was still done in record time. Maybe an hour and half? I forget. Anyway, I was next. Then Rhonda, who had a tattoo recolored. Becky was there to take photos (Thanks, Beck!), and Kathy was there to entertain us. We had fun! And Jim, our tattoo artist, is brilliant. If you're in Houston and want a tattoo, I highly recommend going to Shaw's and asking for Jim.

And here's what I got:

Thanks again, Lindsey and Rhonda. I love it! And you both!
