Wow. Had a loooooooooong day at Hanley, Inc. today. Now I'm trying to respond to scads of birthday salutations on several different social sites, in addition to email. In case I don't get to yours right away, THANK YOU, you! Anyway, I know I've been neglectful and haven't posted anything substantial or of substance in quite a while. If this makes you feel bad or neglected, I'm sincerely sorry. I feel like I've been trying to get it together since last February. Not sure if I'm succeeding either. I'll have to go into a more detailed explanation at a later date, because I just got a call letting me know that there are people at The Compound who are going to have dinner with us and we're going to eat soon. So I'll quickly tell you about my morning, because it made me glad.

I was very much asleep when the faintest whining sound brought me out of a dream state. Now half-asleep, I thought, What the hell was that? And that buzzing sound. What's that buzzing sound? Then I remembered that I'd turned the volume off on my cell phone before we watched the new Star Trek movie the other day, which meant that the alarm on my phone was disabled. But, luckily my phone was still set to vibrate. Rex must've heard it and woke me up. Normally, however, Rex never stirs or makes a sound until I get out of bed or ask him to get into bed to snuggle with me after I hit the snooze button. I was extremely grateful for his ever so polite whimper this morning, because I didn't oversleep and got to Hanley, Inc. on time. Thanks, Rex!
