Today is shaping up to be a little bit better than yesterday, I hope. I got to sleep SO early last night. I think I fell asleep around 5 am. This is monumental. No, really. I didn't see the dawn. (Sorry Prince.) I was up by 3 pm, fried up a rasher of bacon - which I burned slightly, of course, but my smoke alarm didn't go off for once, so I didn't care - and had blueberry Eggo waffles. I haven't had Eggo in years, so I picked some up at Kroger as a treat for myself. I ate breakfast while watching Ellen, which I actually remembered to tape. I'm glad I did, because Robert Downey Jr. was on and I adore him. He's one of those actors that I love and often worry about. What's Robert up to these days? Is he okay? Is he fucked up again? I hope he's not wandering around aimlessly in a haze and falling asleep in strange beds. But no, he's fine, he's still adorable and he's got a CD out. Who knew? I looked it up on iTunes, and it sounds pretty darn good. Good for Robert. yay.

My mood improved infinitely last night once Becky suggested we have a backgammon marathon. This is why best friends are invaluable. She had every right to be annoyed with me, because of my lack of ambition lately. But, no. Instead she suggested we do something fun. So we played backgammon for a few hours. Boy did it help. Especially since I kicked major butt! Bah hahahahaha! (I get competitive. Can you tell?) Major props to Beck for bringing me back from doldrum city. =)
