I made it a point to wake up early this morning so Becky and I could attend the Fight H8 rally in beautiful downtown Houston. The rally was a protest of the passage of California's Proposition 8, which rescinded the rights of gays and lesbians to marry in that state. Similar events were held in cities all over the country today. Some people may wonder why I would bother attending a rally about something that happened in another state. I would answer that the actions of one can affect the masses. As U2 said, "We're one, but we're not the same. We've got to carry each other." Or, as The Osmonds said, "One bad apple can spoil the whole bunch."
