the memory remains

Mark and Lisa left yesterday. I'm not going to post a laundry list of everything that happened, because it would be like sharing a dream, or posting an in-joke, one of those "you had to be there" things and wouldn't mean much to anyone but the people inside our respective heads, I imagine. All I'll say is that it was wonderful to share their energy and get to know them a little bit better, and that I was sorry to see them drive away. (No, I didn't go with them to the airport, because airport good byes depress me even further.)

Also, while they were here, I was a horrible photographer in that I only took one picture the entire time, and that one was taken in miserable lighting and looks as though it was developed in black molasses and then toned with a layer of tar. I guess I'll have to rely on my memory for images, which is fine, because I have a lot of great memories of this last week and I thank Mark and Lisa for coming here and giving them to me.

Rex thanks Mark and Lisa for letting him jump on them.
