"Positve/Negative #1" December 2006
Acrylic on canvas board

This is one of a series of experimental pieces I did, which are housed in various private collections across the country. (In other words, I gave them to various friends as gifts.) I was playing around with positive and negative imagery with acrylic paint on 7" x 9" pieces of canvas boards and liked the results, so I incorporated the idea into other works. A painting I did for my friend Lynne is one example.

You can see other images of the Positive/Negative series by clicking this link.

A set of four Positive/Negative paintings went to my friends, Lindsey and Rhonda, and can be seen via this link. (A companion piece I did hangs above them.)
