Sugar Monday - since you're gone

Because Lindsey and Rhonda are Thailand and Sugar has been entrusted into our care, I've been asked to do a Sugar Monday post. I woke up with the most horrendous knots in my back today. I'm tired, cranky, it hurts to even breathe, and I don't feel like being myself today, so I think I'll post what I would imagine Sugar would write if she were sending a letter to her mamas. Here goes nothing.

Dear Mamas,

Greetings from Camp Compound. I was kind of sad after y'all left me here, but things started looking better when that Timothy guy slipped me some bacon bits later. (Oh, wait. I think he said not to tell anyone about that. Whatever.) I miss my usual routine. After he's eaten, that Rexford dog takes a long nap while that Timothy human eats brunch, so I have to amuse myself. Luckily, I seem to be good at that. When I pounce on invisible objects and roll on them it seems to amuse the Timothy human. Then the Rexford dog tries to steal my spotlight. Whenever the humans here pay any attention to me the Rexford dog is suddenly awake and dancing around in front of me saying, "Look at me! Look at me! I'm cute, too, damn it!" What a moron.

I have to admit, the Rexford dog is pretty accommodating. He lets me nap in his crate, which is really comfortable. Now that I think about it, I get away with a lot here. Don't worry. I still ask to get on the furniture, even though I know the Timothy will always let me. I get to play with Rexford's toys, too. He's good at sharing. We played tug of war last night for a long time. It was fun. Neither of us won, because we decided it would be much better to eat the rope toy. It was delicious.

Speaking of delicious, I keep seeing lots of squirrels outside that are fun to chase. I almost caught one today. And I probably would've, too, if it wasn't for that silly Rexford. He's not very stealthy. The food is good here. No chicken heads. (They made me say that.) The Timothy, Rexford, and I go for a walk every day. I don't pull on the leash at all.

That's it for now. I'm scheduled for a nap in Rex's crate. I hope you're both having fun.

P.S., We should make brownies for the Compounders when you come back, don't you think?
