sleepvacuuming and other things

As Becky stated in her journal, I woke up and sleepvacuumed today. I was just about to go back to sleep when I remembered that she had a client coming by today. So I rolled out of bed and immediately started vacuuming, because the floors downstairs were a freakin' mess. Most people don't like to vacuum, but I love it. Which, judging by my floors, may be hard to believe, but that's because I find vacuuming very theraputic, so I like to save it up for when I need to feel superior to dirt or lulled by the white noise and back forth motions of the vacuum.

What I really hate to do is laundry, which is why my closet is a nightmare. And which is why I have no clean underwear at the moment. It's a commando day.

I've tried to write today, but for some reason, it's been tricky. First, I had the usual distractions; emails to read and respond to, blogs/journals to read, message boards to read, and other Internet related stuff. Then I had to keep Becky from climbing a tower and yelling at people. (She's a pacifist, and doesn't own a gun.) Then I had to walk the dogs. I needed the exercise and fresh air. Then we had dinner and watched In The Name Of The Father, which I'd never seen. What a great movie. "Great" in that somewhat depressing and anger inciting sort of way. (Inciting, or inducing? Whatever. Either. Both, perhaps.)

Now I'm writing again. So what am I doing posting in my livejournal?
