damn, wish I was your doberman

Above is a photo of Pixie's new BFFTW (Best Friend for the Weekend), Sophie. Sophie is a Scout's Honor dog that I'm fostering for the weekend, so I can bring her to the SH/Petsmart adoptions on Sunday at I-10 and Sawyer/Taylor in The Heights at 11:30 AM. Sophie is a full-blooded Doberman pincher who came to us from our emergency vet. She had swallowed a fish hook and her owners decided they couldn't afford the surgery to have it removed, so they considered euthanasia. Luckily, they surrendered her to Scout's Honor, instead. SH paid for the surgery, which was very successful, and now she's ready to go to a new permanent or foster home.

Sophie is such a sweet little girl who is still growing and learning and we really don't want to have to board her. She loves all people, enjoys playing with kiddos and gets along great with other dogs, big or small.
Scout's Honor covers all medical and incidental costs for fostering, so please consider opening your heart and home so that Sophie can have a nice comfortable place to rest her head and be a puppy while she waits for her real forever home. You can download a foster/adoption application here, or visit us tomorrow!

Update 6/16: Sophie was adopted into a great home. However, there are over one hundred other Scout's Honor dogs that need permanent or foster homes. Click here to see some of them.
