more than physical

Holy flying monkey crap, it's cold outside today. It's allegedly forty-six degrees, which is chilly for this part of the country and explains why I woke up shivering this morning. A few days ago I turned on the air conditioning because it was hot outside. Mother Nature seems to be feeling rather fickle, lately.

I've been feeling rather good, lately, so I've been going to the gym almost daily. I'm not doing anything strenuous, because I'm still afraid my chest might explode. No, I've been taking it easy, gently cycling for a half hour on the lowest settings and then finding a quiet corner to do yoga. Every other day I'll grab a pair of fifteen pound dumbbells and work on my arms, which I can't do without giggling because I'm always reminded of Friends and the one where Joey gets a hernia. ("Damn you, fifteens!") My goal is simply to be healthy, because I know I'll never be a hulking mass of musculature. While researching spontaneous pneumothorax I read that exercise is recommended, because healthy lungs are strong lungs and strong lungs are less likely to have blebs. We'll see.

Yikes! I have an appointment I can't miss. More on that tomorrow.
