constant craving

Maybe it's because I'm originally from New England, but nothing makes me happier than a cranberry bog. I love cranberries. Last night I bought a package of Ocean Spray Craisins. It was an impulse purchase. I was passing by and saw them on the shelf and thought, Craisins! They're not raisins. They're cranberries. But they look like raisins. But they're not raisins! I have to try them. They're delicious. When I was in the hospital I had a fierce cravings for grapefruit. All I wanted was grapefruit juice, or grapefruit halves, all day and all night. The idea sounded so refreshing and cleansing. I didn't have any until I got home and Becky gave me her carton of pink grapefruit juice. I had a glass of it and it was like liquid heaven.

I feel as though I've been eating non-stop since I've stopped smoking. Because I have the metabolism of a hummingbird on speed who was born under the sign of Virgo, I'm not that concerned about gaining weight. But I am concerned about finding new snacking options. If y'all could tell me your favorite snacks and give me ideas, I'd appreciate it. Feel free to comment anonymously, you non-LJ readers. Thanks!
