love don't live here anymore

It's so cold here. I think it was six degrees last night; not sure what the temperature is now, but I've lost all feeling in my hair.

I visited two wonderful friends yesterday, and their families. It was great to visit with them, however briefly, and see how happy they are. Both of them reminded me of what's important in life, and for that I'm grateful.

I had to dredge a few boxes of my old stuff from the attic of the Lambert Homestead and take out what I wanted to keep. Dad's trying to make room so he can put in more insulation. I whittled my stuff down to one box of old letters, photos, high school yearbooks, and books. I took it into town yesterday and mailed it to Houston. The rest of the stuff will be taken to the Salvation Army, or maybe Goodwill. I guess it's official: love don't live here anymore.

I'll be back in Houston tomorrow night.
