Yesterday I received two packages, both of them contained birthday gifts. Yay! Shannon sent me...

...toys! These are like the toys I had when I was very young;all of them are made of wood or tin. Except for that bottle of Moxie, of course. From left to right in the picture: one of twelve (!) bottles of Moxie, a tin kaleidoscope, Tiddly Winks, a tin drum, a wooden paddle ball, good ol' Woolly Willy, pick up sticks, and a candle powered tin sailboat. Fun! And now my refrigerator is well stocked with Moxie. Thank you, Shannon!

Albert wrote to me before we went to NYC and told me that he makes cards. He asked if he could send me some for my birthday. I love crafy, home-made things, so I gave him the address. (Now posted in the sidebar, btw.) This is what Albert sent:

Inside this exquisitely hand-crafted box are five cards, linked together on a chain. The cards have handmade designs on the front and back. Some of them have inspirational words and sayings, some with fun images, all them are stunning. The box is really cool, both front and back. On the box's top the word "believe" is stamped in black, which I love, because it reminds me of Mom's Cher's album. All in all, I love it. Thank you, Albert!
