My contributor's copies of BEST GAY EROTICA 2007 came in the mail today from Cleis Press. I've said it before and I'll say it again...what a hot cover!



I'm extremely grateful to Richard Labonte for asking me to select stories for his anthology. It was an excellent learning experience and helped me know what to expect when Becky and I edited our own anthology. Richard told me that he asked Emanuel Xavier to be his judge for the 2008 edition, so I passed the torch by writing Emanuel a quick email to wish him all the best. If my experience is any indication, he's going to have a lot of fun, learn a lot, make some new friends, and will interact with some exceptional writers.

I love good storytelling, and Simon Sheppard, Dale Chase, Alana Noel Voth, Scott D. Pomfret, Blair Mastbaum, David May, Shane Allison, Dominic Santi, Dale Lazarov & Drub, Alex Strand, Jay Neal, Jonathan Asche, Bob Condron, C. Scott Smith & William Meloyd Cullum, Greg Herren, and Cat Tailor all delivered excellent stories. I can honestly say it was a pleasure to read their work. Heh. Seriously, they're fantastic writers, and I'm lucky to be associated with them through this anthology.

And for those who say I don't reveal enough personal details about my life in this LJ, what can I say, other than, I'm not going to give it away for free! You get enough free writing here, much to my agent's dismay, I'm sure. But if you purchase a copy of BGE 2007 and read my introduction, you'll get lots of intimate and personal details about my life. (Note to the ex-bfs: No, I didn't name names.)
